Reflections: Living the Revolution

When contemplating my past there is one thing I recognize as being a constant. Nature. I grew up on Long Island, the overcrowded suburbs of New York City. At four years old I came to Colorado for the first time to visit family and knew instantly that I wanted to live there. Since childhood I would daydream about living in nature and having a place where people could come, in nature of course, to heal. At the time I had absolutely no idea what that meant.

At the age of 30 I packed up my things and my soon to be husband to move across the country. Once I moved to Colorado teachings of nature came flooding in!

After seven years living in the becoming more crowded suburbs of Denver, we are ready to get even closer to nature. A move to the mountain town Buena Vista, CO will help us to live in more alignment with our core values. We always knew that Denver was a steppingstone and the signs for our move began to appear some months ago. Everything points to Buena Vista, even during a pandemic. Even more so because of the pandemic. I have thought about this enough, I have daydreamed and fantasied enough, now is the time for action. Now I will take the biggest leap in testing my beliefs about an abundant ever flowing stream of well-being always available for us. I will trust what I study and teach by putting it into action.

My life has become about living the revolution, I guess you could say I am now a lifelong rebel. As this rebel my mission is to be a living example of an alternative way. I seek out the forgotten ways of relating to the earth and the creatures who inhabit her. Time and time again nature has proven to me to be the best medicine so I will go there and listen, I will integrate it into daily life,  then I will share with you so we all may heal.
